Samsung Transparent Smart Window

There’s a lot of reasons to be excited with this CES 2012 Innovation Winner.

1. In a nutshell, it’s a Window + 46″ TV + Touch Screen Computer. This elevates a whole new experience inside one’s house. It provides modern conveniences that enable home owners to access useful applications at home (Recipe, Twitter, TV shows, Music, Pictures) and for work (Presentation, Flight Information, World Stock).
2. Privacy is well-kept with it’s one-sided viewer.
3. It’s a space saver since it practically can serve as a real window with adjustable blinds and night illuminations.
4. Being partly solar-powered makes it somehow eco-friendly.
5. Although, my main worry is its durability from breakage, pun intended. I do hope Samsung would be able to figure this one out. If not, I’m sure the architect will find a perfect solution.

Personally, I would love to have one of these since I live in a high rise condominium which eliminates the risk of being accidentally destroyed by kids playing outside, and it’s a great space saver.
Would you like to have one too? Why or why not? Let me know in the comments section below!

Topshop Virtual Dressing Room

Since I’m a tech and fashion lover, I really like the virtual dressing room of Topshop. The interactive installation makes a user try out clothes without the hassle of going inside a fitting room and physically changing clothes. See the video below.

I like Topshop as a fashion brand in itself and seeing them try out new technologies such as Augmented Reality, makes me love them even more!

Which one do you prefer using, the virtual dressing room or the physical fitting room?

A World of Interactive Screens

IBM has an amazing installation using 3 executions- a digital wall, a film in 40 screens and multiple touch screen stations. The installation shows interesting information, statistics, photos and videos on how technology can make the world a better place. Talk about a huge interactive exhibit!

Do you think this kind of exhibit as something fun, informative, overwhelming or any other reaction? Let me know how you feel after watching the video in the comment section below.

Real Life “Snake” Game

I’d like to share the amazing multiplayer game by B-Reel called EEL. Using 3D projection mapping technology, users can play using mobile devices as controllers and physical space, in this case the installation, as the game board.

Riccardo Giraldi wisely said in the end, “The more you invest on research and development, the more you are going to get back in the future.”

I’d love to try out this game. How about you?
